Looking for a centrally located RV resort in Central Florida? Camp Margaritaville in Auburndale, FL is the perfect getaway. It is near the middle of the state, about halfway between Orlando and Tampa, putting you less than 2 hours from beaches on the east or west coast and less than an hour from Disney World, but also has tons of amenities and entertainment if you don’t want to go anywhere at all. The resort is fun for all ages and super dog friendly as well. The entire resort is cashless, and has a user friendly app for information and food ordering. You can pay with a credit or debit card or link a payment in the app for use.
The RV resort has 315 full hook-up sites, 90 of which are pull through. All sites are well kept and include some landscaping foliage, but there are no large trees for shade. There are several site categories featuring different amenities like tiki huts or buddy sites, and all sites have picnic tables and charcoal grills. Premium motorhome sites have tiki bars, Komado Joe grills, hammocks and Adirondack chairs. For our weekend visit, we stayed in sites 260 & 261. It was a great corner spot right across the street from one of the dog run areas, which was perfect for our dogs. The site had a level gravel spot to park, pavers for a small sitting area, and a small turf grass patch lined by bushes. The bushes kept my dog entertained looking for lizards. This site itself was a great place to hang out and relax, but there was so much more to do at the resort.
There are two pools and a splash pad so you can cool down from the Florida heat. The large main pool has a slide and is near the café and the bar. It gets pretty busy during the day but there were plenty of chairs and tables. We ordered food for lunch on the app and ate it poolside. The License to Chill pool is a smaller pool but also has a bar and food at Sun Baked BBQ. Besides the pool and splash pad, there are many other activities for families with children. There are two playgrounds, various sports courts, mini golf and an activities field where they hold different activities throughout the day. During our stay, we tie-dyed shirts. It was $25 dollars and they supplied the shirts and all of the dye.
The resort has live music on the weekends. There are several fire pits or tables you can sit at while enjoying the music. They also have other activities like bingo and karaoke. On Sundays, there is a great market with tons of local vendors and a wide variety of items. The atmosphere at the resort is fun and relaxed, and there is always a variety of activities to choose from.
Your dogs can have as much fun as you in Margaritaville. There are three different dog park areas throughout the resort. There are also two dog spa areas where they have dog washing stations complete with shampoo and dryers. Several of the cabanas have back doors that open directly to a dog run area.
